Denial or indifference towards global warming is not as popular in South Africa as some may think, according to systems ecologist Bob Scholes.
As the country faces a number of irregular weather patterns, including droughts, storms and heatwaves, Scholes says it is important for the citizenry not to be apathetic towards climate change.
The expert said the public ought to be conscious of their consumer choices and ability to impact resource conservation.
