NPA to secure arrest warrant for Oscar Pistorius

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) will today secure a warrant of arrest for Oscar Pistorius, to ensure he appears in court on Tuesday for a bail application.

This is after the Supreme Court of Appeal (SCA) set aside the athlete's culpable homicide conviction and replaced it with one of murder, last week.

EWN reporter Barry Bateman said talks have been underway between the Defence and the State to secure Pistorius' presence in court and that the status of the arrest warrant is expected to be confirmed later today.
