China to invest R12 billion to build cars in South Africa

Trade and Industry Minister Rob Davies announced that the local Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) signed a deal with Beijing Automobile Works (BAW) to build cars in South Africa.

It is reported that the R12 billion Chinese car plant in South Africa would create 2,500 direct and 7,500 indirect jobs.
