The City of Cape Town has geared up for the inaugural HSBC Sevens tournament leg taking place at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.
MayCo member for Tourism and Events, Garreth Bloor on Wednesday said that the ticket sellout for the sporting event is an indication of its successful model.
Bloor said 110 000 tickets were sold in 48 hours, proving the event to be immensely popular, and explained the safety, parking, traffic and access plan expected over the weekend.

Port Elizabeth’s Nelson Mandela Bay stadium was the previous host venue for tournament since 2011, but the South African Rugby Union decided to move the event to the Mother City from December this year.
