Meet a 19 year old who turned her love and passion for baking into great profit

When Thabile Thabethe was just 16 years she applied to volunteer at her local orphanage but was turned away as she was too young.

The rejection lead her to think of other ways to help those who are less fortunate, so she began contributing through her love for baking.

I didn’t know I loved baking until I was 16 and baking for the orphanage

Thabile Thabethe, founder of T-Par-T Partisserie

Listen to the full conversation on the Redi Tlhabi Show:

Thabethe is now 19 years old Bcom student at Wits and a proud owner of T-Par-T Partisserie.

She bakes in between lectures and on weekends. Her mom also helps out when it gets very busy.

Talking to Redi Tlhabi, Thabethe explained how she used social media to market her business.

Social media is totally free and that’s one of the best ways for small businesses to get themselves out there
