City knocks it out of the park with first Cape Town Sevens event

The inaugural Cape Town’s Sevens event was a roaring success, sealed with the Blitzbokke's third consecutive win in the South African leg of the series.

110 000 local and international supporters filled Cape Town Stadium at the weekend and the event has rivaled the Hong Kong leg in its first year hosted in Cape Town.

The City of Cape Town's Garreth Bloor said that ticket sales as well as demands for food and beverages far exceeded their expectations.
