For years, Janice Honeyman has been part of the South African theatre, in the director’s seat, particularly of children’s plays and pantomimes.
Her career dates back to when she was presenting a kiddies television series called Bangalory Time in the very early days of SATV.
Now Honeyman is stepping back on the boards to star in a new theatre recreation of that show.
Talking to CapeTalk’s Pippa Hudson, Honeyman said that she is not getting any younger but she certainly enjoys being on stage.

I am using a lot of energy and I am jumping around on the stage, it is fun. It’s afterwards that my hips, knees and everything else aches.— Janice Honeyman, Iconic South African Theatre Director
