Multiple fires broke across the Peninsula over the Christmas weekend leaving at least hundreds of people homeless in Khayelitsha, Hout Bay and Mfuleni.
Natalie Malgas of the Eye Witness News says that residents of Imizamo Yethu could not believe that a second fire has ripped through the area in exactly six weeks.

The City of Cape Town has negotiated with Thula Thula Hout Bay situated between Berg n Dal Estate and the BP Garage, across from the Riding Centre on Main Road, Hout Bay to accept and manage donations from the public.
