Are tow-truck drivers contributing to road accidents?

Various reports about tow-truck drivers turning traffic lights to cause road accidents have cast a negative light on the industry.

702 and Cape Talk's Sam Cowen spoke to chairman of the United Towing Association of SA, Ettienne Pel, about the issue.

Listen to the interview below:

The concern that I have is that this has been an ongoing allegation and we've continuously said that we don't condone that kind of behaviour and it should be brought to our attention.

Ettienne Pel, chairman of United Towing Association of SA

I can promise you from our side that we will take the necessary action we need to. If need be, we will advise consumers on the legal action they can take in those cases.

Ettienne Pel, chairman of United Towing Association of SA
