With schools about to open, parents are already looking at buying new uniform for their children.
One parent wrote to CapeTalk/702’s John Maytham about the exclusive agreements between schools and school uniform suppliers. She says schools should encourage a competitive environment.
Itumeleng Lesofe, Spokesperson for Competition Commission says the Competition Act prohibits companies (school uniform suppliers) for engaging in conducts that prevents competition.
