Local viewers will have more options to content after a recent announcement by film TV streaming service, Netflix, to launch in SA.
702 and Cape Talk's Stephen Grootes spoke to media expert, Arthur Goldstuck, about the new entrant to South Africa's viewers.
Listen to the interview below:
The bad news for South African is that they won't get the netflix they know from the United States.— Arthur Goldstuck, media expert
It offers a fraction of the movie and tv series available in the US and the reason for that is that most of the regional licensing of that content has been snatched up by dstv and ShowMax.— Arthur Goldstuck, media expert
ShowMax is R89 a month, netflix is starting at R129 a month and that's for a regular definition service. For a high definitiopn service, you pay more.— Arthur Goldstuck, media expert
