With the year's first First Thursdays done and dusted, we thought we should get you in the studio where all the magic happens - before the blank canvas becomes a master piece hanging at a busy art gallery full of art enthusiasts, buyers and collectors.

The next series of images gives you an idea of some of the tools utilized by artists when creating.

These are used to make thick lines/strokes.

Clean Canvas

Okay, without the guy in front of it, the canvas is where all the drawing,painting,spraying and general magic happens.

Easel

This is where the canvas is placed when the artist is working. These you can make yourself too. (Check out this cool how-to video for DIY tips.) Easels come in different shapes and sizes.

Paint brushes

Bubble Wrap

Comes in handy when you are shipping of one these delicate pieces or when handing over a piece to a client who has bought the product.
