He's the best batsman in the world, but did you know (captain) AB could sing?

AB de Villiers holds the record for the most Test innings without a duck – 79.

He has the second highest individual score ever by a South African (278 not out).

He holds records for the fastest 50 (16 balls), 100 (31 balls) and 150 (64 balls) in One Day Internationals as well as the fastest 100 by a South African in a Test (and the fastest 50 by a South African in T20s).

He’s played in 98 consecutive Tests, yet another record.

Most sixes in an innings, most runs in a World Cup for South Africa, fastest player ever to reach this milestone and that milestone… It gets rather tedious; we know it already – but did you know he could sing?

Is there anything AB can’t do? No.

AB de Villiers and his friend Ampie du Preez are signed to major record label Sony BMG.

Their debut album “Maak Jou Drome Waar” consists of 14 power ballads and love songs, sung in Afrikaans and English.

There is a music video for the track “Maak Jou Drome Waar” featuring his friend and teammate Faf du Plessis.

AB’s personal favourite is the song “Madibaland” which he wrote to honour Nelson Mandela.
