Minister Malusi Gigaba has made the distinction between travel to South Africa and tourism in the country, as the Home Affairs Department celebrates increased numbers.
Gigaba on Thursday explained that the latest figures released by the department reflect increased travel to South Africa and did not include domestic tourism.
The minister said the number of tourists who still choose South Africa as a holiday destination was impressive.
