Going to the movies isn’t cheap these days, thanks to the mark-up on movie theatre food.
Consumer journalist Wendy Knowler says cinema popcorn has the biggest profit margin on any food commodity in the world.
Some have gone as far as to suggest that the revenue from concessions is keeping the dying cinema industry alive.
