21 schools in Western Cape vandalised during holidays

The spokesperson for the Western Cape Education MEC, Jessica Shelver, told CapeTalk’s Pippa Hudson that there were 21 incidents of school vandalism reported across the province over the December break.

According to Shelver, there has been a significant reduction in the number of vandalised schools from the previous year, and this is good news for the department.

The last figure was 32, so we are down by 34.4 percent. The same period during December 2013 and January 2014 there were 41 incidents
