J&B Met gets a new name

Sun International is the new sponsor of what's popularly know as the J&B Met, along with international champagne brand Maison Mumm.

After a 39-year association J&B ended it's sponsorship of the Met.

The South Africa's top horse racing and fashion event will now be known as the 'Sun Met, celebrated with Mumm'

Michael Farr, Sun International spokesperson says they saw it as an opportunity to expand when they were approached.

We are aiming to bring back the glamour and sophistication to the event...

Sun International hosts other big events in the country like Miss South Africa and The Nedbank Golf Challenge and owns the Grandwest Casino and Table Bay hotel in Cape Town.
