Internet connectivity in South Africa was disrupted by faults to two major international cable systems on Thursday.
According to Mybroadband's Jan Vermeulen, the Seacom cable, which runs along Africa’s east coast, went down.
Seacom had terrestrial outage in Egypt. They found the problem, sent out a team and fixed it at about 6:30pm last night. There was also an issue in the UK with the wax cable.— Jan Vermeulen, Mybroadband senior journalist
