In trying to understand why people treat the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and questioning (LGBTIQ) community in a brutal manner, Dr Eve delves into why are they targeted and who is committing these hate crimes.
According to Dr Eve, hate crime is any incident that constitutes a criminal offence perceived as being motivated, in whole or in part, by prejudice, hate, or bias.
Dr Eve says that people need to change their mind-set and understand that our gender variations and sexual orientation are not choices; they are not things people decide to do.
