Since the introduction of the contentious visa regulations, the Department of Home Affairs has been criticised for the reduced numbers in tourism.
It seems the department’s plans to ease the regulations on a three month timeline have worked.
In a meeting held by Department of Home Affairs on Friday, The South African tourism sector had positive remarks for measures put in place to ease the traveling regulations.
According to Barry Bateman of the Eye Witness News, Tourism Services Association’s David Frost who’s been very critical of the regulations, appeared satisfied with the outcomes of measures put into place.
