Why is the foundation phase important in a child’s life?

According to Parenting Expert, Nikki Bush much emphasis is put on a child’s matric results rather than spending time focusing on laying a good foundation before a child gets to school.

Talking to CapeTalk/702’s Redi Thlabi, Bush says that the foundation phase is the beginning of everything.

She says it is important to get the foundation right in the first six years.

We don’t spend enough time looking at what we are doing before children even get to school
