New Beginnings: Travelling the world on a bike from Indonesia to South Africa

CapeTalk's Pippa Hudson chats to Javier Martinez, a Spanish cyclist who has spent the past few years travelling the world on a bicycle.

The Madrid born world traveller, has so far done 66 840km and he is currently in CapeTown. Martinez has been travelling since 2004 after he abandoned his career.

He says he was losing part of his humanity when he working as photographer. Martinez witnessed the brutal killing of a Palestinian civilian.

I've been travelling since 2004. The first 7 years was backpacking, hitchhiking and sailing. And from 2010 I have been cycling.
