Engen honours top maths and science students

Engen Petroleum honoured Cape Town’s top performing Engen Maths & Science Schools (EMSS) learners at their graduation. The ceremony, which took place on 13 February 2016 at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, marks the successful programme’s 30th year.

The top achievers were Thaakirah Arendse, Sibulele Mgoduka and Zuhair Roomaney.

In 2015 the EMSS accepted more than 1894 learners from grades 10 to 12 with 1030 of these learners being female and 864 being male.

Engen's Corporate Social Investment, Education Programmes Specialist, Alice Msibi spoke to John Maytham (standing in for Kieno Kammies) about this initiative.
