Corporate affairs executive at MTN, Chris Maroleng, says MTN is trying to understand what the glitch is and will communicate that as soon as they know.
MTN has apologised to at least 1 million voice, SMS and data customers who have had intermittent disruptions in signal since Sunday night.
Maroleng has admitted that engineers are still investigating what the root cause of the problem was.

While MTN says it doesn't know the exact cause of the glitch, the mobile operator says customers will be informed once the problem has been resolved.
