Young Cape music conductor bags international opportunity

24-year-old music teacher and conductor from Retreat, Chad Hendricks recently won the Len van Zyl Conductor’s Competition award.

Hendricks is, in turn, headed to Philadelphia in April for a month-long internship with the Philadelphia orchestra. He will then train for two months with Professor Victor Yampolsky at Northwestern University in Chicago.

John Maytham (standing in for Kieno Kammies) spoke to Hendricks about this amazing opportunity.
