Health and Wellness: Myths around eyecare busted

Having a good vision is important and without eyes people wouldn’t be able to view the beauty of the world.

Pippa Hudson chats to Nikky Haberle, an optometrist and dispensing optician about how to take good care of our eyes and the myths that exist around eye care.

Most of them are myths and they need to be busted, one of them is if you watch too much television you will get square eyes. There is no truth in that, the myth is busted.

Sometimes we watch Tv in the dark and seat quiet close to it. Seating in the dark create very high contrast, it puts strain on the eye, but it doesn't cause any permanent damage.
