The Western Cape Premier Helen Zille delivered her State of the Province Address today. According to Zille her long-term vision for the province is a highly skilled, innovation driven, resource efficient, connected, and high opportunity society for all.
Xolani Koyana of the Eye Witness News attended the State of the Province Address and says that there was a march by ANC members just before the proceedings.
He says there were hopes that Premier Zille will address issues of racism in the province.

According to Koyana the focus of SOPA was more on the economy, on how the province can assist in growing the economy and creating jobs.
He says the Premier mentioned that the province has set a target to create more than 200 jobs in the next three years.
