The Presidency says Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan's position is not under threat, despite an alleged Hawks investigation against him.
Gordhan, President Jacob Zuma and South African Revenue Service (Sars) commissioner Tom Moyane have been embroiled in a so-called tug of war, after Moyane apparently defied Sars restructuring plans.
EWN reporter Stephen Grootes on Tuesday said Moyane would have to break his silence on the matter soon and that Zuma might have him replaced.
