The man who has served almost 23 years in jail for the murder of Chris Hani has made a new attempt to be released on parole.
The lawyer representing Janusz Walus on Tuesday told the parole board that the case should no longer be referred to Justice Minister Michael Masutha.
According to EWN's Masego Rahlaga, Walus' lawyer argued that Masutha took too long to consider the previous plea, after he overturned the granted parole application 12 months ago.
