Cape Town-based production company, Pixcomm, has produced a 13- episode animation series in 2D, which has been sold to 22 countries across Africa while creating employment in Masiphumelele.
Producer Nic Buchanan explained that the company partnered with a township NGO to use skills from within the community.
The series, titled Jabu's Jungle, follows a young boy and his magic talking drum as he makes new discoveries and goes on unique adventures in each episode.
