Sindisiwe Manqele sentenced to serve 12 years for killing Flabba

Convicted killer Sindisiwe Manqele has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment for the murder of her rapper boyfriend Nkululeko 'Flabba' Habedi a year ago.

On 9 March 2015, Habedi was found dead in his bedroom at his Alexandra home.

Addressing the court, Judge Solly Sithole explained to the state that there is a difference between remorse and regret.

EWN's Masego Rahlaga said that Judge Sithole handed down a medium sentence for Manqele because she had tried to resuscitate him and did not flee the scene.

She will serve 12 years in prison, but she cannot get out on parole until she has served eight of those years.
