Can you still afford to buy property in Cape Town?

Local property prices are out of reach for many ordinary Capetonians. Property expert Steven Delit has tips on how to get into the property market.

He says investing in property is always a good idea as it appreciates in value.

Property expert Steven Delit says aspiring home-owners need to compromise on the size of the homes they purchase in order to compensate for the value difference between renting and buying.

It's the expectation level that people have that make it difficult for them. If your renting a two-bedroom apartment, regardless of the area, you can generally afford to buy a one-bedroom apartment.
