Breastfeeding mothers applaud Edgars stores for a positive response

A number of moms were infuriated by the way Tasneem Botha was treated by Edgars store in Cavendish Square last week and chose to organize a nurse-in at the store yesterday.

Botha was apparently mocked and eventually chased out of the shop for breastfeed her hungry child. Edcon CEO, Bernie Brooks has since apologised for the wrongful actions of the team member at the Edgars store.

Brooks said that they would ensure that all staff support guests in their stores if they wish to breastfeed their children.

I would like to commend Edgars stores... they set-up chairs for moms and they also set-up coffee, tea, juice, water and snacks.

There were about 30 to 35 parents with kids and media and we were there from 10 till about 11am.
