If every man helps his neighbour, then who will need help- Mustadafin Foundation

The Mustadafin Foundation was founded during the Apartheid era in South Africa. It was established to help women and children that were affected by political unrest and violence that erupted in Crossroads.

The foundation has five core functions which is:

  • Education

  • Poverty eradication

  • Health

  • Disaster relief

  • Community development

This year the organization is celebrating its 30th birthday. Speaking to CapeTalk's Pippa Hudson, one of the founders and director of Mustadafin Foundation, Ghairunisa Johnstone says that they are still strongly and motivated by their founding motto "If every man helps his neighbour, then who will need help"?

We feed 15 000 people under our community development … this year we are focusing particularly on children who’ve never been to school.
