Jonas, Mentor don't even begin to paint the full picture of state capture - Vavi

Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas and former ANC MP Vytjie Mentor are not the only government officials who have been offered ministerial jobs by the Gupta family, according to former Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi.

Vavi says they are, however, the only two people who have been courageous enough to come forward and speak out against the Guptas alleged state capture.

I was not surprised. We have been hearing these things from comrades approached by this family. Some of them told them to go to hell but will not go on record. Mcebisi Jonas and Vytjie Mentor are being very brave.

Zwelinzima Vavi, former Cosatu General Secretary

Vavi claims Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula had his appointment announced to him by the Guptas in 2012 and that there are many other ANC members who've either been offered roles or assigned to corrupt activities.

We have always known that these people have huge power over the affairs of government. They have now reduced our President, democratically elected by the ANC, into a puppet.

Zwelinzima Vavi, former Cosatu General Secretary

Vavi has called for the establishment of an independent judicial commission that is not appointed by President Zuma, who he says has lost credibility and must resign - along with other cabinet members.
