How SA-born art director bagged an Oscar for box office hit 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

Shira Hockman is the South African-born award-winning art director who was part of the team that won Best Production Design for Mad Max: Fury Road at the Oscars.

Hockman explained her role and the process behind creating a production set from a conceptual idea.

What I do is very much like being an architect for film sets... It takes the same set of skills to recreate the world of the film.
