John Nicholson says his home-made Hillview library is more than just a place for community children to read - it's a safe space for them to seek support and guidance.
Raised by a single-mother, Nicholson says he wants to be a father and friend to each and every child in his community.
The avid reader explained the journey of how his library in the Cape Flats came to be.
