The MMM Scheme continues to draw mixed reactions from the South African public.

This is despite MMM being one of nine companies which were under investigation by the National Consumer Commission on suspicion of being a pyramid scheme. This investigation has since been taken over by the South African Police Service (SAPS)'s Specialised Commercial Crimes Unit.
