It has emerged that the initial report of a dramatic drop in Western Cape road deaths this Easter was wrong.
After original claims that only six people had died over the holiday weekend, it has been revealed that a total of 21 people have lost their lives.
Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa explained that the information regarding road fatalities in the municipalities was outstanding.
The figures were updated after taking into consideration the number of people killed in metropoles, mostly pedestrians.
