ANC respects judgement delivered by ConCourt, says Zizi Kodwa

ANC national spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says the ruling party recognises and respects the Constitutional Court judgement on the Nkandla spending saga.

Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng ruled that President Jacob Zuma failed to uphold, defend and respect the Constitution and ordered Zuma to pay back the money.

Kodwa says the ANC welcomes the clarity provided by the court on the binding powers of the Public Protector.

For us as the ANC, the ConCourt remains a guardian of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and a final arbiter on matters before it.

Zizi Kodwa, National Spokesperson for the ANC

Kodwa says the party will offer a comprehensive response after studying the judgment in detail.
