The Friday Stand-In 2016

Rebecca Davis brings her wit and candour to the airwaves

Journalist and author, Rebecca Davis took to the airwaves as #FridayStandIn with as much ease as she does when she puts pen to paper.

She kicked off her show with a fascinating open line, taking views from a massive number of callers.

Rebecca then wrapped up the views with a reminder of some of the skeptism that came when the appointment of Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng was first made.

Listen to some highlights from her first hour

Her second hour was another round of riveting radio, honing in on the art of speechwriting and looking back at some of the best speeches that were ever written.

She also spoke to a woman in a polyamorous relationship ( an intimate relationship with more than one person), which sparked some fascinating feedback and conversation.

In her last hour, as has become a tradition with Friday Stand-ins, Rebecca engaged listeners on a funny topic about the unfortunate surnames some people have - like Hitler, Gupta etc.

See a video of this conversation below:

She had an incredible show overall and from the feedback, there's already a petition to have her back a radio a presenter! See how she felt about her Friday Stand-In experience.

Rebecca says she was under so much pressure as a Friday Stand-In for the Redi Tlhabi show the day after the Constitutional Court's ruling. Listen to her conversation with Redi on Monday morning below...
