SACP protests against Janusz Waluś release outside Kgosi Mampuru

The South African Communist Party (SACP) is protesting outside of the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre to demonstrate against the decision to grant parole to Chris Hani's killer, Janusz Waluś.

Waluś was imprisoned nearly 23 years ago for the murder of the late SACP leader in 1993.

The SACP's Alex Mashilo says the party is protesting in support of the Justice Minister's appeal to challenge Waluś' release.

Mashilo added that the SACP is expressing its displeasure with the comments made by the High Court judge who granted the parole.
