Fuel price going up

The Department of Energy has just announced that from Wednesday the petrol price will be going up between 43 and 44 cents a litre, while diesel is going up 23 cents.

Illuminating paraffin price will increase by 22 cents per litre.

EWN reports that the department says this is due to the increasing average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin during the period under review.

The rand appreciated against the US dollar during the period under review, on average, but still remained above the average of the previous period.
