Now You Know

He's nailed it, now he's moving on...

Reuben the Screwman is retiring from our airwaves after working for 702 and CapeTalk for the past 11 years. Reuben is moving to a countryside town in the Western Cape, sadly making him unavailable to fulfill his radio crossings.

In his years at the station, Reuben has helped literally thousands of people giving them tips and suggestions on how they can make fixtures, remove stains and effect repairs at home - rather than employing professionals. His fans will especially recall his extensive (and hilarious) advice to Udo during the overhaul of his bathroom. Most recently Reuben has been interacting with Africa and Sam - who themselves have their own DIY challenges...

I would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of the wonderful people I had the privilege to work with at Primedia over the past eleven years. It was an experience I could never have imagined.

Reuben the Screwman

Reuben originally made it on to 702 thanks to Aki Anastasiou who was presenting the weekend breakfast show at the time...

I would also like to give special thanks you to Aki, the hooligan that invited me onto his morning show for a chat all those years ago. I still have no idea why, but I never left.
