Some of the schoolgirls kidnapped two years ago in Chibok appear to be alive in a video released by Nigerian terror group Boko Haram.
EWN Nigeria Correspondent Samson Omale says, until now, citizens had lost hope and begun speculating about political conspiracies related to the abduction.
However, since the release of the video, some parents have been able to identify their daughters from the 15 girls that appear in the footage.
Nigeria's Federal Government has confirmed that it is negotiating with Boko Haram for the release of the girls, whose location remains unclear.
Parents, civil society groups and the #BringBackOurGirls movement will today protest to put pressure on authorities, says Omale.
