The Friday Stand-In 2016

Muzi Kuzwayo stands by his ‘Pro-African’ agenda

Friday Stand-In, Muzi Kuzwayo started the second half hour of the show ranting about how the system continues to 'sideline' black people, sharing anecdotes from his own experiences.

Muzi declared the start of the First Timer Callers Festival on the open line, and played the song, 'Kumnandi kwelakithi eSouth Africa' (It's nice in South Africa), for each new caller.

He insists all South Africans should celebrate our rainbow nation.

But, Twitter and phone lines lit up after his controversial comments- from how advertising only prefers lighter skinned back woman, to white privilege, and how apartheid denied him the future he wanted.

Muzi then called on politicians like Helen Zille to stop perpetuating racism, and said Julius Malema is not a revolutionary. Revolutionaries are not fat, he quipped. Click here to know more about Muzi. Listen to Muzi ranting below...

After those remarks, we all know what happened on Twitter! The #FridayStandIn was trending.........
