The Power of Poison Exhibition hits Cape Town

The American exhibition, The Power of Poison, opened for the first time in Cape Town this April.

It is a family-friendly exhibition, that explores the Power of Poison in a fun, educational and engaging way.

It comprises five themes including Poison in Nature, Poison in Myth and legend, Detecting Poison, Poison by Accident and Poison for Good.

Talking to CapeTalk’s John Maytham, Nick Dreyer, Director of Expo RSA, says that the exhibition deals with the impact of poison, venom and toxicology in the history of the world and how it has affected us in nature.

It is a fascinating look into a subject matter that we may not think we are close to but we are all incredibly close to it.

We have an investigation type of crime scene where people can go and play detective and figure out why the little dog potentially got sick in its yard.

See the exhibition at the V&A Waterfront from 1 April to 12 June from 10 am to 7pm.

Tickets are available at Webtickets or at the door. Adults R140, Children R85, Family of four R350 and Under 5 free.
