22 year old Capetonian Daniel Fenton is a game ranger working on the Ngala Game Reserve in the Kruger National Park.
Dan will be embarking on his "Hope for Horns" rhino awareness walk in May 2016 where he will be walking 922 kilometres from Phinda Private Nature Reserve to Botswana's Ramatlabama Border Gate over 40 days.
And why the route from Phinda to Botswana?
Back in 2004, we relocated six rhino to Botswana and this walk is the same route those six rhino were driven— Daniel Fenton, Game Ranger, Horns for Hope
Botswana have a very devoted rhino protection programme, and rhino are safer there, than in South Africa.
The plan is to relocate 100 rhino over the next few years, and this walk is to raise funds for the relocation project.
It is also to raise awareness about what is happening to rhino.
The walk begins 1 may and details are on www.gofundme/hopeforhorns Follow Dan's walk on Twitter and Instagram at hopeforhorns.
