The Democratic Alliance (DA) promised to bring change and employment to South Africa at their local government election manifesto launch.
The DA's Athol Trollip says jobs and better governance are two seminal issues that challenge the country.

Trollip says that, unlike the ANC, the opposition party is able to offer the voting public change.
According to Trollip, the party is willing to consider coalition partners to govern in certain municipalities.
