She Leads Africa inspiring African women to greater heights

She Leads Africa is an organisation which identifies itself as being part of an ecosystem to empower women to break the barriers which hold them back in the continent.

The organisation helps young African women to achieve their professional dreams and links them up to like-minded and inspiration women around the world.

We don't see ourselves as a solution to all women's issues. We see ourselves as part of an ecosystem of solutions

Yasmin Belo-Osagie, She Leads Africa co-founder

Speaking to #NightTalk's Lovelyn Nwadeyi, She Leads Africa co-founder Yasmin Belo-Osagie, says that the organisation focuses on three undertakings.

She Leads Africa gives women access to networks which are available to them; the organisation provides an education to African women on running a business in the continent; and it focuses on raising the confidence of women in the continent.

I find that a lot of young women just don't have the confidence that they can be the next Oprah... because often times they haven't seen women who look like them doing amazing things

Yasmin Belo-Osagie, She Leads Africa co-founder

Belo-Osagie says that organisations like She Leads Africa are important to tackle mental barriers women experience in the continent, so they can fulfill their professional potential.
